Johnny Kulo & Friends

Berlin-based, Indian artist Johnny Kulo is the bridge between old-school soul and alternative R&B. The multi-instrumentalist uses his sultry-smooth voice to tell honest and relatable stories, with hooky melodies that sit on large musical arrangements. As the son of a reverend, he was inevitably playing drums in church before he could form sentences - exploring several other instruments until eventually realising his love for songwriting and production. This upbringing has led him to become a musical director and session guitarist for several r&b / soul artists in the city. Johnny Kulo also runs an event series namely 'Family Dinner' highlighting upcoming and veteran artists in Berlin, supported by his live band - the innerpockets.
