Selektor Bony

Selektor Bony, music lover and collector of sounds, was born in Mexico City and grew up surrounded by tropical rhythms, accompanied by the acoustic pollution of the planes that constantly thundered over his neighborhood. In search of new opportunities and challenges, his path led him to Seville, Spain, where he lived for more than ten years and organized the city's first reggae and cumbia parties before settling in Berlin in 2014. For the last few years, he has been organising the Cumbia Fest, which represents the Latin American sound culture in Berlin.

As a DJ, Selektor Bony invites the audience to dance to rhythms from different times and different parts of the world. Latin and tropical beats with influences from cumbia, funk, boogaloo, and cha-cha-cha merge with his passion for reggae and dub, building a bridge between different styles and combining traditional and old rhythms with contemporary sounds.

With his performance, he wants to create a space without boundaries where the music - like ourselves in a constant metamorphosis - becomes a place to rest and, at the same time, a colourful and moving journey.
